In the scrap yard I frequent there is a military surplus AM 864/U amplifier.
This looks like the speech amplifier that went with the BC 610. I don't have any idea what it was used for. Anyone need this to complete their collection of whatever. I hate to see it melted down for the metal if someone needs/wants it. Bill K7NOM |

The speech amp. for the BC-610, is the BC-614...the AM 864 was used between the
control tower console to the phone lines, and on to the remote transmitter site...TSGT REED, Radio maint. USAF Retired... |

USAF Retired... Thanks for the replies. This thing is still setting on the back of an abandoned junk truck in the rain. I guess I will have to buy it and clean it up a little to see if it is OK, or at least, repairable. Not in this as a business, but I hate to see it destroyed. I also hate to bring this stuff home and "then" throw it in the dumpster. Bill K7NOM |
