Hi,
I am building a tube type SW AM radio frm scratch and need the IF output transformer that drives the detector. 455kc IF. Anyone help? Jim w1hrm |

Hi,
The problem might be that the impedances arent correct and they cant take the voltages and current. I could be wrong but then..... thanks. You could always parallel-feed from a choke, and isolate the IF transformer
from DC with a cap. This would provide a much nicer environment. Then if you had to you could build big boxes to put the transformer and bypass stuff into, and it'd even look right. At a local junk store buy a tube type radio and salvage the IF cans out of it.
