I have some five pin plug in coils that have
40 JEL, 40 MEL, 80 JEL, 80 MEL on them. Does anyone have any info on them. Thanks Terry |

Hey, this is going back a ways. Waaaaaaay back. but weren't these Bud or B&W
coils, with "J" for junior, and "M" for ??????, and the "EL standing for end link? Seems like the "JEL's" were store bought coils good for something like single stage final amplifiers using 6L6's or 807's feeding 72 Ohm Belden polyethelene insulated balanced line? (or, of course, link feed to a following stage with link input, either single ended or push-pull. (my biggest ever transmitter was push-pull 211's driven by an 807, using Bud (or maybe it was B&W) coils and link coupling. OH, YEAH!
