Those interested in military radio collecting might like to look at
the web site for the Kurrajong Military Radio Museum. The physical construction of the museum has been under way for the past 2 years following a move to a new site with opening expected later this year. In the meantime a web site has been set up giving details of mainly Australian, British and US equipment plus a few items from other countries. So far about 80 pieces of radio equipment have been listed with photos, history, technical details and in many cases circuits/schematics. Many of these items have not previously been described on web sites and new pieces of equipment are being added on a regular basis, recent additions being the R-274/SP600, BC-1000, WS-38, RAN Tuner C, RJB-4 and the URM-32. The museum owner, Ian, VK2ZIO, is always happy to exchange information with other collectors. His contact details are included on the web site at http://www.vk2bv.org/museum/index.htm Simon VK2UA Webmaster |
