The Gold Edition had the 500 hz CW filter as standard. Other than that, they are electrically and physically the same as the non-Gold Edition. The KB-1 knob has a spinner/thumb area at one spot for faster dial movement. It is a brown/bronze sort of color and doesn't match the gray panel. Hence, if it is the same color it isn't the KB-1 optional, weighted knob. A good substitute for the KB-1 is a replacement knob for the Ten-Tec Omni 6, Orion, etc. They're weighted and only cost $19 from Ten-Tec whereas the KB-1 sells for $50-125 on Upay, I mean Ebay. 73s, Evan |
