If you're doing solid state stuff, the hFE function is very handy to have. The capacitance tester is very handy for just about all technologies I think, although it's bad to put too much faith in it. If you are working with audio and need reliable measurements of non-60 Hz AC, it's important to get a true-RMS meter, but if you do not, it's not worth the substantial extra cost for true-RMS functions. I have found the frequency counter function VERY handy for working on a lot of things. If it goes high enough, you can use it even for things like making sure the LO is on-frequency. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |
