Just a final note to all here...
the Michigan Antique Radio Club's 19th annual "Extravaganza" is THIS WEEKEND in Lansing , Michigan at the Holiday Inn South. Exit 104 (Cedar St) off I-96. this is considered by many to be the most friendly and accommodating swap in the USA for collectable electronics, and may now be the largest (only Rochester is possibly larger). Admission is free to the flea market and general auction, however , registration of $25 for non members and $15 for members is required for all other seminars and events. Flea Market opens at 7am sharp Friday, July 9. NO SELLING or DISPLAY of items is allowed on the set up evening of Thurs, July 8 starting at 5pm. Huge Zenith radio display and social evening indoors at 7pm.-10pm with band and cash bar. On Saturday, the regular auction starts at 2pm-5pm, then the "Good Buy Affair" bargain auctions starts outside at 7pm-9pm. Come hang out even if you don't want to buy, its another social event! Much stuff sells here under $5! Extensive advertising and publicity to general public results in many "walk-ins" with radios to have serviced, evaluated, or to sell. Many fine sets have turned up this way! All 60 or so tables under the huge tent are sold out. All 300 regular spaces in the parking lot are probably sold out by now, but additional space in an adjacent gravel lot are being sold now. this is a good area if you have a motor home, but check with vendor coordinator Don Colbert on that. all inquiries direct to him at . There are several cheap motels in the area. The host hotel is the Holiday Inn South. Its probably sold out for Thurs and Fri, but try it at 517-694-8123 others a Days Inn 517-393-1650 Econolodge 517-394-7200 Best Western 517-393-5500 Super 8 517-393-8008 Regent Inn 517-393-2030 Ramada Ltd 517-694-0454 Hope you can make it!!!
