Default Looking for early 1950's How to Become a Radio Amateur

I am looking for an early 1950's How to Become a Radio Amateur (ARRL) which
has the transmitter built on a wooden chassis with tank coil coupling
sliding on lollipop sticks. This was my first transmitter.

I remember hook-up you are looking for and I may have it somewhere in my
collection of books (in storage). This circuit, 'The Slat-Board
Transmitter', may be a slight variant of the one you are looking for. It's
a pdf of the article that appeared in an early printing of 'How to Become a
Radio Amateur'.

Joe you should check out early Hand Books. There are several novice rigs
and one with the tank coil wound on lollypop
sticks. This is a bread board assembly.
I have my Handbooks packed away but if you want I'll find the year with
the rig.

I think this is the transmitter you are looking for. It appeared in the
1955 printing of 'How to Become a Radio Amateur'---It's got the coil on
sticks... The article also contains the matching power supply and receiver.
Be patient, it takes awhile to download; especially on dial-up.

I think all the construction articles from that printing is on this web page
(they even have a scan of the front cover):
