I think it is time for we Boatanchor traders to adopt a code or
defination of terms describing the condition of these old jewels..I have never used the term "MINT" or used the term "RESTORED" ..to me Restored means spending $400 on graphic work etc. on a front panel for a 75.00 boatanchor.. I have never seen a Mint 60 year old radio..I guess what I am saying is, I am tired of people buying a good working, good looking old radio and expecting it to not have one blemish..Of course I can put in my own disclaimers, but ,don`t you think that we could agree on a standard that we could all live with? Or "most" all of us could live with..What do you think.. W4PQW |

I've seen some stuff marked mint, which well... could have been mint - I suppose. I seen still others marked mint which were pure trash and better served as land fill. ANYONE trading/buying used - especially online - should expect "something" to be wrong, even if very slight in nature. Both parties SHOULD be honest, fully explaining anything that even looks shady about their equipment. cl |

At least if it is in decent shape for being the age it is. cl |

Must be the candy they're sucking on while baiting the hook for a sucker to come along. You've got to love some of the ads and their wording. Some are so horrendous, I move on as soon as I get to the first sentence of what looks to be a 2 year old's writing. I wouldn't consider that item no matter how bad I "think" I might need or want it. cl |
