Joe, You live in the metro area of the largest most developed city on
the planet. Take a sample down to the jazziest auto paint store within
radius and they can match it and even put it in a spray bomb for you for
$15 or less.
No brainer.

$15 or less, I wish
I tried that, seem paint shops here (North Shore Long Island) have become
spoiled rotten and money crazy.
Seems they dont even want to look at me unless Im collision business
customer with a pocket full of insurance money.

1 Quart minimum $40-$44 plus $30 to put it into 2-16 oz cans.
It also not available in Enamel (what they told me).
Lacquer chips to easy, I dont want that
What a pain in the neck, Im going to have to drive to the Bronx and find guy
who blended my Collins gray for the R-390.
It was actually in his old book with "Clapton Green" guitar lacquer

A Greyhound to a hick town (like Columbia) in South Carolina might be
cheaper still :-) In that real world they may not even charge ya! I
can get a quart of nice computer matched enamel paint here in little
Vieques cheaper than they sell the Gringo name brand shelf stuff,
usually $20 or less. Go figure. Of course they can't do the aerosols here.

Thanks for the reminder of why I don't choose to live in NYC even though
its ALL available there. If I want a bagel at 3 AM here I'm surely SOL
but wouldn't pay 5 bucks even if such was available.

Hummer almost ran me over yesterday
.....Hell Im ready to move to Columbia SC or to Culebra and grow bananas.
If it wasn't for Mouser Electronics Id go mad

Just as to provide some other ideas that you might not have thought
of, Lowes, Home Depot, Sherwin-Williams, Duron, True-Value Hardware,
Ace Hardware... Will all computer match a paint chip for you in a
variety of different kinds of enamel. YOu can spray most anything
with a cheap paint sprayer.

The Sherwin-Williams dealer was able to match it up and mix some enamel no
problem $16 for a quart. Smart guy ! He also stated since I wish to "bake
the finish" he mixed a semi-flat that will look like semi-gloss when it
comes out the oven.

The woman at Home Depot didn't know how to work the matching machine, handed
me a book.
