Default TS-700SP mike?

I have a TS-700SP with no manual. Can anyone tell me the model of the
Kenwood that came with it?

Thanks,

You need a 500ohm dynamic mic, assuming the set hasn't been modified.

Original was a 4 pin plug/socket.

Thanks. I've been using a Drake desk mike, and have had to turn the gain all
the way up but my FM deviation still sounds low, so I'm hoping to find the
original Kenwood mike model to look for. But with the impedance information
from you I may be able to find a substitute.

Bob -

You should inquire about the TS-700SP service and owners manual from Paul
Yoder, WB3CEZ in Bridgeport, PA . That is really not far from your QTH.

He prints TOP QUALITY manuals - I ordered my Kenwood TS-440S manual from
Paul (without his comb binding - I have my own binding system) -- and I am
very satisfied with his quality.

I have a pl board that will work in that radio. If I remember right, that
was the all mode from Kenwood? I am a blind person, and i would count the
turns on the knob to tell what frequency I was on.

Dana,

I would be interested in knowing what pl board you use and how yours is
attached. Thanks.
