I have a TS-700SP and a VFO-700S remote vfo but no manual for either. I also
don't have the interconnect cable for them. Can anyone tell me what the
connections should be and suggest a source for the 9-pin connectors or a
source for the cable itself?

I think the 9-pin plug for the VFO (same pin configuration as a 9-pin
miniature vacuum tube) is the same that was used for the TS-520 VFO
E05-0901-05 TS-820/TS-520 9Pin VFO PLUG $5.04

A service manual will confirm or you can call Kenwood Parts to order
