I just acquired 2 receivers, a Motorola R390 and a Capehart R390A. Both
work, look decent with no case. The audio controls are scratchy but everything else works well. What might be a fair price for these? Thanks. |

Anywhere from $500 to $800 typically, depending on condition, more if
"museum quality". Check ebay prices. -- Jim M. "Fred W4JLE" wrote in message ... I just acquired 2 receivers, a Motorola R390 and a Capehart R390A. Both work, look decent with no case. The audio controls are scratchy but everything else works well. What might be a fair price for these? Thanks. |

Thanks Jim, and others that have replied offline. They are not "Museum
Quality" by any means. They appear to have been taken out of service. The 390 has a nice looking panel and the 390a has a few scuff marks. Both are relativly clean inside, but have a small amount of grime from age on the chassises. The megacycle and kilocycle dials work easily on both radios. (I wonder if they can copy signals in Megahertz :)) They both are missing the tube shields that I remember from my Navy days. I was thinking on getting rid of one of them and using the funds to have the other refurbished by one of the experts on the web. Thanks again to all for the replies.
