FS: SB401. condition 5 out of 10. Operates???? Don't care to know.

I bought it off of someone and got taken to the cleaners. They told me
it was in very good shape and operable but that's not the case.

Quick description: This transmitter has a few minor mods to it. The
cabinet is a 7 out of 10. Front panel is a 9 but grungy. It's
moderately dirty inside. All electronic components seem to be in place
including the tubes and tube shields. The VFO mechanics are messed up
but the LMO seems like it's in very good shape as it rotates smoothly.
VFO knob is missing. The cover for the PA is missing. No feet.

When I pulled it out of the box and saw the condition and I put it back
in the box. It's been sitting in a corner for over a year. After the
sale and several exchanges with the seller which turned out to be
futile that's where it's been. I've decided to clean stuff out of the
shack and this is the first to go. I'm offering this as a parts rig.
I'm willing to part it out. But preferably I'd like to unload the
whole thing at once and try to recoup at least part of what I got taken
on. Pictures available on request. As far as I'm concerned this is a
piece of junk however, it is restorable or can be used as a source for
spare parts or restoration of another SB-401. I took a $100 hit on
this. I'd like to recover at least $60 or $70 plus shipping for it.
