Would like to know how to feed a Weston VU meter from a Behringer Eurorack 602a mixer unbalanced recorder output. Level is same as VCR and all other current consumer electronic units. My serious suspicion is the crappy output stage on that mixer won't be able to drive a 600 ohm load without clipping, but try it and see. Put a 600 ohm shunt resistor across the meter, then drive the meter and the shunt resistor from pins 2 and 3 of any XLR output on the console. The meter needs to see a 600 ohm load bridged across it for the dynamics to be accurate. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |
