WBOC-FM Salisbury Flips To AC

Draper Holdings has launched the permanent format on its recently acquired
102.5 WBOC-FM Pocomoke City/Salisbury MD. The station had been airing
Christmas music since returning to the air in late-November. The new format
will continue to compete with iHeartMedias Q105 104.7 WQHQ with an emphasis
on local. While WQHQ is only locally originating in middays and afternoons,
WBOC-FM is promoting that it will be local from 6am to 12am. The stations
lineup features Sarah Petros and Corey Phoebus in mornings, April Brilliant
in middays, Program Director Joe Edwards in afternoons, and Dory Hayman at
night.

Station Sales Family Life Ministries acquires Classic Hits 92.1 WSEN-FM
Baldwinsville/Syracuse and Mix 106 106.3 WMCR-FM Oneida NY from
Leatherstocking Media Group for $2.5 million. As part of the deal Family
Life also gains the right to move WSEN-FM to the tower of Talk 1390 WFBL
Syracuse with right of first refusal to purchase WFBL and its tower site
for $375,000 or the lesser offer price. Riverfront Broadcasting is
expanding into Keokuk IA with the purchase of AC 93.9 Easy Rock WCEZ
Carthage IL and Standards 1310 KOKX Keokuk for $100,000. Translator Sales
Following the purchase of 1350 WCRM Fort

92.7 The Beacon Launches In Eastern NC

Lanser Broadcasting launched Christian AC 92.7 The Beacon WBNK Pine Knoll
Shores/New Bern NC on Christmas Eve. WBNK had been silent since Lanser
agreed to purchase the station for $275,000 this summer. It previously had
run a similar Christian format as Bigfish-FM. The Beacon will feature a
local morning show hosted by John May and Kinzie. Ace McKay, PD of sister
JQ99.3 WJQK Zeeland MI added those duties and WBNK as well.
