Sun Broadcastings acquisition of 98.5 WLVO Fort Myers FL has been held up
by Petitions To Deny by the unlikely pairing of competitors Beasley Media
and Renda Broadcasting. Beasley and Renda, who both operate clusters of
their own in the Fort Myers market, argue that Suns purchase of WLVO does
not comply with the current ownership limits because Sun has de facto
control of other stations in the market. Sun currently owns 2 AMs, 3 FMs
and a television station in the Fort Myers market but the petitioners argue
that the owners of Sun also have control of the 2

iHeart Creates New Market Operational Structure

iHeartMedia is realigning the structure of its operations with four
Executive Vice Presidents of Operations being promoted to Division
Presidents. iHearts stations had been aligned into groups of major and
regional markets. Under the new alignment they will be restructured into
four divisions each under one of the new local Division Presidents and 36
regions. The new leadership will also have other corporate responsibility
including: Hartley Adkins, who will serve as President of the Northeast
Division and Corporate Operations overseeing multi-cultural and strategic
