The new multi-year deal places the Clippers in second position to the Los Angeles Dodgers and will move their games to Conservative Talk 1150 The Patriot KEIB when both conflict. iHeartMedia will run ancillary Clippers content across its entire Los Angeles cluster. The L.A. Clippers and iHeartMedia Los Angeles today announced an exclusive multi-year broadcast rights agreement. Beginning with the Clippers game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, March 19 at 4:30 p.m. PT, AM 570 LA Sports/KLAC will be the official radio home of the Clippers for all preseason, regular season and Playoff games while also providing comprehensive year-round coverage. “AM 570 LA Sports/KLAC has long been the premier destination for sports in Los Angeles,” Clippers President of Business Operations Gillian Zucker said. “We are proud to establish an exceptional, long-term destination for Clippers basketball on the radio with a station that sounds like it was named for us.” Play-by-play duties will be handled by Brian Sieman, now in his ninth season calling Clippers action on the radio, while the venerable “Voice of the Clippers,” Ralph Lawler and former Clipper Michael Smith team up with Sieman to call all nationally televised games not shown on Fox Sports PRIME TICKET. He began his career on-air in Country working at KXDD Yakima, KQFC Boise and KATM Modesto. The newly branded 105.7 The Bear retains the syndicated Rob, Anybody Dawn morning show, PD Jason LaChance in middays, APD/MD Chris Moreno in afternoons, and Sixx Sense at night. The move of the format off of 92.5 clears the frequency for its sale to Lazer Broadcasting who will flip the station to its flagship Radio Lazer Regional Mexican format. Lazer is purchasing KBRE and Spanish AC Magia 106.3 KGAM from Mapleton as part of a deal in which Mapleton will then acquire Country 96.3 KUBB and Rhythmic CHR Hot 104.7 KHTN from Alpha Media. |
