WHDL Gets Hot For Olean

A CHR battle has broken out in Olean NY as Community Broadcasters is using
its new translator to take on Colonial Media + Entertainments V96.7 WVTT.

Sports ESPN 1450 The Huddle completed its move of 93.5 W228AT Elmira to
107.1 in Olean this morning and flipped to CHR Hot 107.1. WHDL is launching
with the syndicated Kidd Kraddick morning show and local host Franiak the
Maniac in afternoons.

Dave Hill To Program Big 105.9 Miami

iHeartMedia Classic Rock Big 105.9 WBGG-FM Miami has appointed Dave Hill as
its new Program Director/Night Host.

Hill transfers to Miami from Portland where he served as Senior
VP/Programming. He previously programmed Hearsts 98 Rock WIYY Baltimore
from 2002-2014 and WQBK/WQBJ Albany and WMRQ Hartford during his career. He
fills the vacancy created by Michael Mud Gross exit in April.

iHeartMedia Classic Rock WBGG-FM (BIG 105.9)/Miami names Dave Hill as
Program Director, effective August 22. Hell also host weekday evenings.
Hill joins BIG 105.9 from iHeartMedia/Portland, where he had been Senior
VP/Programming since 2014. Previously, Hill served as PD of WIYY-FM (98
Rock)/Baltimore and Operations Manager for Hearst Broadcastings four
stations there beginning in 2002. Hes also programmed and aired in middays
on WQBK-FM and WQBJ-FM/Albany, NY and WMRQ-FM/Hartford.

I want to thank Robert Dove, Andrew Jeffries, Brad Hardin and the entire
team in Portland for letting me stand at the helm for the past 2 years,
said Hill. Now Im excited for that next chapter of my life in Miami and
helping to guide one of the most legendary brands in the industry, WBGG.

After an extensive search, we are excited to welcome Dave to the Miami
team, added Regional Senior VP/Programming Alex Tear. Daves programming
experience and extensive multiformat knowledge ranging from Top 40 and Rock
to News Talk, Country and more make him the perfect person to lead BIG
105.9 to the next level.

Hot 100.5 Norfolk Moves To Hot AC

A playlist shift has taken place at Max Media CHR Hot 100.5 WVHT Norfolk VA
as the station has dropped most Rhythmic titles and moved in a decidedly
Hot AC direction.

The move comes with a rebranding to just Hot 100 and a new Virginias Hit
Music Channel positioner. The change comes just after Max Medias decision
to stop subscribing to Nielsen Audios ratings starting with the just
released July PPM monthly. WVHT held a 3.8 share in the June monthly which
had put it between Entercom Rhythmic Z104 WNVZs 4.0 and iHeartMedias Now
105 WNOHs 2.1 in the three-way CHR battle in the market. The change now
places WVHT directly against Entercoms 94.9 The Point WPTE, who held a 2.6
in the July monthly.

Adams Radio Group flipped Sports 570 The Ticket KWML Las Cruces NM to
Oldies Kool Oldies 104.5 with the addition of 104.5 K283CG.

The new format is focusing on hits of 1955-1975 to flank sister Classic
Hits 98.7 KSNM Truth Or Consequence. K283CG is operating with 215w/21m
covering Las Cruces proper.

The format change leaves the Las Cruces market without a Sports station
although Townsquare Medias ESPN 600 KROD El Paso reaches the market.

named Mark Zander as their new Program Director/Morning Host.
