Lyle Reynolds Red Mountain Ventures has launched Sports 99.1 The Game
W256CD Fultondale/WDJC-HD3 Birmingham AL.

WIAT-TV sportscaster and former WJOX/WZNN host Scott Griffin is hosting
mornings billed as Smashmouth Radio. The station is currently airing NBC
Sports Radios Newy Scruggs from 9-11am and Fox Sports Radios Rich Eisen
from 11am-2pm and Colin Cowherd from 2-5pm. The station will soon begin
simulcasting The Drive with Wes Neighbors and Steve Moulton from sister
ESPN 97.7 The Zone WZZN Huntsville from 5-7pm. NBC and Fox Sports Radio
network programming fill other dayparts along with Atlanta Falcons football.

W256CD joins Cumulus trio of Jox 94.5 WJOX-FM, ESPN 100.5 WJQX, and 690 Jox
2 WJOX in running Sports programming in Birmingham.

Matt Malone Joins X105.1 Kansas City

Cumulus Alternative X105.1 KCJK Kansas City has hired its first on-air
staffer.

Matt Malone, most recently with the now defunct New Rock 107.3 KURQ San
Luis Obispo will serve as Assistant Program Director and Afternoon Host at
KCJK. It is a return to Cumulus for Malone, who interned and later served
as a Producer and Programming Assistant at Classic Hits 94.7 WLS-FM Chicago.

Cumulus Media announces that it has appointed programming professional and
on-air talent Matt Malone as Assistant Program Director and Monday-Friday
3PM-7PM Afternoon Drive Host for Kansas City’s Alternative station
X105.1/KCJK-FM. The appointment is effective immediately.

Malone joins X105.1 from KURQ-FM in San Luis Obispo, CA, where he was
Assistant Program Director and On-Air Personality. Prior to that, he was
based in Chicago as Corporate Programming Assistant for Cumulus Media, and
was Assistant Program Director for WLS-FM. Malone was also on-air at
WLUM-FM/FM 102.1 in Milwaukee. He holds a B.A. degree in Radio Broadcasting
from Columbia College in Chicago.

Donna Baker, Midwest Regional Vice President, Cumulus Media, said: “Matt’s
passion for and extensive knowledge of the alternative format and his
connection to listeners are the ideal fit for X105. OM Lance Tidwell and I

Michael Levine Adds PD Duties For Go Country 105.1

Mount Wilson FM Broadcasters Country Go Country 105.1 KKGO Los Angeles has
bestowed the Program Director duties on Michael Levine.

Levine, son of owner Saul Levine, has been Interim PD since the exit of
Tonya Campos last month. He joined KKGO in 2004 when it was still Classical
K-Mozart KMZT as Director of Marketing and later added Station Manager
duties.
