/////////////////////////////////////////// WBZX Debuts Real Identity As Classic Hits B103.9 Posted: 30 Aug 2016 12:20 PM PDT https://radioinsight.com/blog/headli...to-big-rapids/ Up North Radio closed on its acquisition of 103.9 WBZX Big Rapids MI and debuted Classic Hits B103.9 on Saturday, August 27 in place of the Beautiful Music stunt it had launched with. The new format is positioned as 80s More to represent its focus on hits of that decade. The launch sequence included the sequence utilized by many Jacor/Clear Channel CHRs in the late 1990s and early 2000s as a nod to owner Dom Theodores time in the company during that period. Original Report 8/24: Max Henry Associates has signed on Beautiful 104 103.9 WBZX Big Rapids MI. The new station debuted at 12:30 this afternoon promoting Beautiful Music for Big Rapids. The station is in the process of being sold to Up North Radio for $21,000 but the Construction Permit was set to expire on Saturday, August 27 requiring the station to launch prior to the closing of the sale. A website and stream are forthcoming. Upon consummation of the sale it will join Up North Radios Hot AC 107.9 WCDY McBain/Cadillac. They are also in the process of acquiring Classic Rock 107.1 WCKC Cadillac. /////////////////////////////////////////// WYEC Quad Cities To Flip To Jack Posted: 30 Aug 2016 04:00 AM PDT https://radioinsight.com/blog/headli...-flip-to-jack/ While Townsquare Medias 104.9 KQCS Dewitt IA/Quad Cities is currently stunting in preparation of a format change, Regional Medias Classic Hits Rewind 93.9 WYEC Cambridge IL has announced a flip of its own. The station is running a loop of songs with Talk in the title and promoting a new format to debut Wednesday, August 31 at 12:00pm. 104.9 The Hawk debuted in July 2014 to go up against iHeartMedias market leading 103.7 WLLR. The station failed to make any inroads as it registered a 2.0 share in the Spring 2016 Nielsen Audio ratings to WLLRs 18.1 share. A flip to Talk would put the station up against iHearts 1420 WOC. That station registered a 5.4 share in the Spring ratings. |
