Kanza Societys High Plains Public Radio will launch Public News/Talk 94.9
Connect K235AL/105.7 KJJP-HD2 Amarillo TX.

The new service will serve as a compliment to the primary High Plains
Public Radio service on 105.7 KJJP, which features a mix of News, and
Classical, Folk and Jazz music. Among the programs the station will carry
are NPRs Morning Edition, On Point, and All Things Considered, KUT Austins
Texas Standard, PRIs The Takeaway, and WBUR Bostons Here Now.

Midwest Family To Launch CHR "Live 99.9" South Bend

Midwest Family Broadcasting will flip Country New Country 99.9 WHFB-FM
Benton Harbor MI/South Bend IN to CHR Live 99.9 on Tuesday, October 11.

While weve been tracking the domains for the flip since they were
registered in early August, Indiana Radio Watch was the first to confirm
when the flip would take place. The station will import the syndicated
Brooke Jubal for mornings, while Shady comes aboard from sister Rhythmic
CHR 93.1 Jamz WJQM Madison WI for nights.

The new CHR format on WHFB-FM will place the station up against Artistic
Media Partners’ market leading “U93� 92.9 WNDV-FM which registered a 10.6
share in the Spring 2016 Nielsen Audio ratings. The move leaves Federated
Media Country B100 100.7 WBYT as the sole Country station in the South Bend
market, however the move takes WHFB-FM out of competition with sister 97.5
Y-Country WYTZ in the Benton Harbor market.

Lotus Communications Acquires KFWB Los Angeles

Just months after acquiring 980 KFWB Los Angeles and launching South Asian
Desi 980, Universal Media Access is selling the station to Lotus
Communications for $11.2 million.

Universal Media Access paid $8 million to purchase then Sports 980 The
Beast from CBS KFWB License Trust in January. The deal gives Lotus its
second AM in Los Angeles as the company owns Spanish Sports ESPN Deportes
1330 KWKW.

This is to announce that a contract has been signed and an application is
going to be filed with the FCC for the transfer of radio station KFWB-AM,
Los Angeles, California, from Universal Media Access KFWB-AM, LLC to Lotus
Communications Corporation for $11.2 million.

The Seller, Universal Media Access KFWB-AM, LLC, is Delaware Limited
Liability Company.

The Buyer, Lotus Communications Corporation, is a California-based company
headed by Howard Kalmenson, President CEO, and Jim Kalmenson, First Senior
Vice President. Lotus also owns radio stations in Los Angeles, Las Vegas,
Tucson, Fresno, Bakersfield, Reno, and Sacramento, along with two
television stations in Houston and Phoenix.

KFWB-AM operates at 980 kHz, with 5.0kW day and 5.0kW night.

KALIL CO., INC. is the exclusive broker for this transaction.
