Alt 93.9 Launching In Chattanooga

Bahakel Communications will launch AAA Alt 93.9 1370 WXCT/93.9 W230CN
Chattanooga TN on Monday, November 14 at 8:00am.

Branding as Where Music Matters, the new station will be a
current/recurrent oriented AAA much like the former format of sister 96.5
The Mountain WDOD-FM from 1997 through its flip to CHR in 2008. WXCT
(formerly WDEF) has been simulcasting sister Classic Country Q97.3/Q99.3
WUUQ South Pittsburg/99.3 W257AZ Lookout Mountain since dropping its Sports
format in January.

AM Changes

With their acquisition of Conservative Talk 1270 WYXC Cartersville GA,
Michael Dara Glinter’s Northwest Georgia Broadcasting has applied to move
the station to 1260 in the Atlanta suburb of East Point GA.

Michael Glinters Praise 95, Inc. was the proposed applicant in 2013 to
acquire now deleted 1260 WTJH East Point from Willis Broadcasting. WTJH
lost its license in July 2014 when an FCC review showed that the station
had been off the air for more than one year consecutively following its
2009 silent STA application following its eviction from the tower site
making its 2010 license renewal application moot. WYXC now seeks to operate
from WTJHs former tower with 5.1kW day/52w nights, which it will also
acquire the property of.
