Howard had served as VP/GM of WBEB from 1998 through 2016 and previously held the same role at KPIX-FM San Francisco. He also spent seven years in Philadelphia at News 1060 KYW. He will report to current Entercom Philadelphia VP/Market Manager David Yadgaroff. An earlier version of this story mistakenly stated that Howard was currently at WBEB. We apologize for the errors. Entercom, the #1 creator of live, original, local audio content in the United States, today announced the appointment of Blaise Howard to the role of General Sales Manager for Today’s 101.1 MORE FM (WBEB-FM) in Philadelphia, effective October 1. “We are thrilled to bring Blaise back to WBEB as the station formally joins the Entercom family,” said David Yadgaroff, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom Philadelphia. “For decades, Blaise led WBEB’s sales strategy and success. He’s the perfect candidate to lead the station’s multi-platform sales effort.” “I can’t wait to start this new chapter with Entercom, and be a part of the team led by Dave Scopinich and David Yadgaroff. I am excited to take a step forward with a company so positive about our industry, and so committed to the growth of Radio,” said Howard. Howard spent 18 years as the VP/GM of WBEB-FM where he created a culture of high performing professionals and consistently maintained the status as one of the top rated and top revenue producing stations in the Philadelphia market. Prior to WBEB, Blaise was chosen by Group W Radio to launch KPIX, their first FM News Talk station in San Francisco. Blaise’s background also includes seven years at KYW Newsradio. Today’s 101.1 MORE FM is a Radio.com station. Radio.com is a part of Entercom, a leading American media and entertainment company and one of the two largest radio broadcasters in the country. Camping, well known for his multiple end of the world proclamations, also regularly preached that that the institutional churches of all denominations had gone apostate meaning they had veered too far away from their true principles and that the faithful should leave those churches. Now as the network continues to resurrect itself in the wake of the failed doomsday predictions that led to Family Radio selling off their big FM signals in New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore/Washington and Tampa. Christian Post reports that Family Radio will drop all remaining airings of Campings programs after October 7. Tom Evans, who succeeded Camping as president, told the site that Rather than dwell in the past, its time for us to move on and come into today. What can we do today as a ministry to encourage the Body of Christ? And thats really what were focusing our attention on. Were now turning from being critical of the church to now how can we embrace and encourage the church of Jesus Christ here in this world.
