Does anyone know of a _reputable_ Montreal-area pro audio/broadcast
equipment dealer? I know there are Solotech, CEV, and Steve's Music, but I'm looking for one that would also sell such things as broadcast consoles (ie. the Soundcraft RM range.) Thanks. (This isn't for me, it's for a friend.) --Douglas |

Try this: http://www.sonotechnique.ca/ They are the big name in Montreal and also have a Toronto office. But be careful---I have a friend who was utterly screwed by them. Rob R. |

If you know exactly what you want and don't expect too much service, maybe. A friend of mine, who is TD in a local student radio told me that he bought his broadcast console at Groupe Berger. (http://groupeberger.com) They're a bit outside of the city, but he only works with them now... I had contacts a few times on the phone with them, and they seem to be ok. Otherwise, there's Omnison, APL... I would be interested to hear from your friend's experience when he's done... Kurt |
