Research just released by Media Monitors details exactly how ugly its been
over the past six weeks. Between April 13 and April 19, Department Store
spending on radio is down 98%, Casinos and Hotels are off 89% and Telecom
declined 78%.

Community Broadcasters radio stations in Northern New York ran a 12 hour
fundraiser, Tuesday, May 5 raising money for the United Way of Northern New
York. The group raised about $15,000 during the fundraiser that aired on
the 8 station Northern NY cluster.

Radiothon Provides Over 150K Meals For Food Bank

Entercom's Boston cluster of stations raised enough money to provide
156,684 meals to be distributed by the Greater Boston Food Bank. The May 5
fundraiser was part of the company’s Stay Connected initiative to support
local communities.

Cox Media Group announced this morning that Kim Guthrie is leaving her
position as CEO of the company. Guthrie has been with Cox for 22 years.
Steve Pruett, Executive Chairman of Cox Media Group, will serve as the
Interim Chief Executive Officer until a permanent Chief Executive Officer
is appointed.
