The demonstrations are being conducted using live data transmitted in near real time using the WorldSpace AfriStar satellite over the west beam. The receivers, designed and mass-produced exclusively for WorldSpace, contain data ports that enable direct transmission of data and audio content to computers. Through this service, clients anywhere within the coverage area will be able to listen to live audio discussions combined with a slide show on various topics, thus stimulating a 'virtual classroom.'
