New York Yankee radio play-by-play man John Sterling is out of the hospital
and feeling great after being treated for a blood infection (he tested
negative for COVID-19). He's planning to be back calling games starting
Wednesday. Neil Best spoke to the 82-year old broadcaster for an article in

stereo display with the ability to monetize it through ad augmentation.
Earlier this year, Steve Newberry joined the company as CEO. Beasley Media

Former Cumulus GM and Pamal Executive Steve Borneman has joined Jam Media
Solutions as COO. Borneman will be responsible for JAM Media's seven radio
stations and two online newspapers in North Carolina and Iowa.

Podcast Revenue Booming

While every other media is experiencing steep declines in revenue, it
appears podcasting is doing quite well. According to a report in eMarketer
today, podcast ad spending will reach $1.1 billion in 2021 and $1.3 billion
in 2022. eMarketer is forecasting that US podcast ad spending will surpass
20% of digital radio ad spending this []

Vewd. The partnership gives Vewd access to the Entercom digital platform

Beasley Q2 Revenue Drops 53%

Another sign of how brutal a national pandemic can be when businesses are
forced to shut down and advertising dries up. Revenue for the months of
April, May and June came in at $30.4 million for Beasley Media Group, down
from $65.7 million for the same three months in 2019.

As we reported yesterday, after years of working the halls of Congress, the
NAB has secured a majority of House members in support of the Local Radio
Freedom Act. The Act is intended to block any new royalty payments imposed
on stations.
