Howard Viken passed away Saturday morning at the age of 97. Viken joined
WCCO in Minneapolis in 1950 and began a 39-year run for the station.Â*Viken
became one of the most recognized names in the state of Minnesota. Viken, a
Marine, fought in World War II in the Battle of Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima.

WIL St. Louis host Mason Schreader got a tattoo of the radio station he
worked for one week before he was fired. Schreader hosted mornings on the
“Mason Remy Show� with Zachary Hoesly. He posted this picture to Twitter
with the comment: “Hahahahahhahhahahhahahha I just got fired.
