St. Barnabas Health Systems Director of Marketing Michele Bradac told WPXI-TV that Bells removal was a “personnel matter” and that until the company and she resolve their personnel matter, there’s no way to say” what will happen next. Bell joined WJAS in late January to host a one hour show from 11am to 12pm, but soon-after was extended to 9am to 12pm. She previously hosted afternoons at 1020 KDKA until being fired last September following a listener and advertiser backlash to comments she made. She also spent 18 years in the market at WTAE-TV as an anchor before being fired for racist comments made on Facebook. Lee has been with WMT as PD since 1989. His 46 year career has also included a nine year stint at 1600 KCRG Cedar Rapids, and stops at 800 KXIC Iowa City, 1450 KLWW Cedar Rapids. He began his career at Coe Colleges now-defunct KCOE-FM Cedar Rapids. The company is seeking a new Program Director for WMT and News/Talk 800 KXIC Iowa City. Details on the position are available here. At the end of May longtime WMT-AM Program Director and on-air personality, Randy Lee, will be retiring after a 46 year long career in broadcasting. Lee spent the majority of his career at local iHeart Media affiliate Newsradio 600 WMT serving as Program Director for the last 32 years. Prior to WMT, Lee worked at KCRG Radio (1980-89), KXIC, and KLWW, after getting his start at KCOE, Coe College’s student run radio station. Current evening host Maxwell moves to afternoons from 2-6pm where he will be paired with current Wild 94.9 KYLD San Francisco evening host Crystal Rosas for The Maxwell and Crystal Show. Maxwell joined WHTZ in 2014 as late night host after previously serving as APD/MD/night host at Q102 WIOQ Philadelphis. Rosas previously was part of the JV morning show at KYLD and social media host for MLBs Oakland Athletics. Replacing Maxwell in nights will be current Kiss 107.1 WKFS Cincinnati Program Director/afternoon host Josh Martinez. The move marks a return home for Martinez, who is a native of Brooklyn. Martinez has been with WKFS since 2017, previously serving as APD/MD/night host before being promoted to PD in 2018. He has also programmed “Hot 95.7” KOSY Cedar Rapids and worked on-air in Des Moines since starting his career in New York at WKTU. Z100 rounds out the lineup changes with Shelley Rome moving up from overnights to late nights from 10pm to 2am, while Nick Gomez moves from weekends to overnights. iHeartMedia New York’s Z100, New York’s #1 Hit Music Station, announced today that Crystal Rosas will join Maxwell on “The Maxwell and Crystal Show,” effective June 1. “The Maxwell and Crystal Show” will broadcast weekdays from 2-6 p.m. and will cover the latest pop culture headlines, including a variety of music and lifestyle topics as well as celebrity interviews and more. Rosas joins Z100 New York from Wild 94.9 in San Francisco, where she most recently served as the nighttime on-air talent. “There arent enough words to describe how excited I am to be working with the super talented Crystal Rosas,” said Maxwell. “We cannot wait to take our show to the next level, and I think Crystal and I will make a great team.” My heart always knew that NYC is where I’m meant to be,” said Rosas. “So it’s truly an honor to call the legendary Z100 my new home.” In addition, Z100 will welcome Josh Martinez to the program lineup. Martinez will broadcast from 6-10 p.m., beginning May 24. Martinez joins Z100 from Kiss 107 in Cincinnati, where he most recently served as the afternoon on-air talent and program director. Grant, under the air name LD Rizzo, is serving as Program Director and midday host. The owners have operated a Seattle area webcaster and closed on their $225,000 purchase of KMZK at the end of April. Other programming includes Kain in mornings and KLBJ-FM Austin Program Director LA Lloyd tracking afternoons. KMZK will also carry LA Lloyds Rock 30 Countdown on weekends along with Hard Rock Nights with Brian Basher and The Electric Radio Show. /////////////////////////////////////////// Townsquare Media Ends LMA Of KRQN Posted: 10 May 2021 04:30 AM PDT https://radioinsight.com/headlines/2...s-lma-of-krqn/ After ten years as CHR i107.1 under the operation of first Cumulus Media and later Townsquare Media, the LMA of 107.1 KRQN Vinton/Cedar Rapids IA has come to an end. KRQN dropped its CHR format at the end of April upon the expiration of the ten year old LMA. The station is now running Conservative Talk programming from USA Radio Networks including Chosen Generation Radio with Greg Young from 9am-11am, Todd Starnes from 11am-2pm, and Dan Sileo in evenings. The CHR format launched on KRQN in 2011 when Cumulus began operating the station. Townsquare assumed the LMA of KRQN as part of its 2013 purchase of 68 stations across thirteen markets from Cumulus. The CHR battle in Cedar Rapids continues to feature KZIA Inc.s Z102.9 KZIA Cedar Rapids, iHeartMedias Hot 95.7 KOSY-FM Anamosa, and Townsquares adjacent markets pair of Q98.5 KKHQ Cedar Falls/Waterloo and B100 KBEA Muscatine/Quad Cities. While KZIA does not appear in the Nielsen Audio ratings, the other three stations all had identitcal 0.6 shares. |
