Today I heard about HD radio and naturally I wonder if this is still an AM signal that will not penetrate a metal building or is an HD signal a more easily recievable signal that we are used to in AM? No HD Radio will not work any better than AM. And the audio quality sucks.. How many times have you listened? I find the quality excellent, less fatiguing than analog AM, and quite a significant improvement. I actually have an HD radio, too. No wonder. You hash the analog signal and adjacent channels with sideband noise and cut off anything above 4 kHz to do HD. "Let's trash the analog so we can sell digital receivers is your mantra." |
