Any Comments good or bad about Realistic CB Radios from the 70s and 80's

I've got an old TRC-451 that I still use. I've gotta' have an AM/SSB radio.

More ssb than am unless it involves highway travel.

Default Any Comments on Realistic Cb Radios ???.

I liked them. I remeber cutting the limiter diode out of the audio
mike section and turning the RF up a bit. I f I remebered corectly a
few of them were JC Penny radios also. Same guts just different
covers. I miss the CB craze in the late 70's. I worked at a CB shop
while I was in school.
I allways liked the Unidens. President Grants particularly. You could
really trick them out.
