Default Just a little bit of skip....

Hello All:

Hearing stations from all over the place, but still condations are poor
for shotin skip. Stations heard are weak and fad quickly. 11 and 10
meters I am hearing the same locations. No big surprise.

I swing the beam around and have a switched +20dB pre-amp/ straight thru
/ -20dB attunator mounted near the beam antenna, and still not a lot of
help in most cases to get a solid copy. But the best I have heard is
stations that do come in and fad out, will return shortly. Rough going
indeed!

Hello Jay

I had a few Minnesota stations on the hook earlier tonight and the
conditions seem to fade with the sunset. How's that new antenna working out
for you?

Hello Steveo:

Its working as expected, which is a good thing. It froze facing North by
North West. And I think I am hearing fishing boats out of Alaska
Allusion Islands. I can barley hear a desile motor in the back ground
with some broken english?!?!?

Thats Aleutian Islands, my Los Angles City School System eDucation is
showing again.

The odd thing is that 10, 11, 20 and 40 meters has the same locations
being heard, until the bands change around or drop out.

I put up a common normal guy dipole antenna with a good Balun, LMR400
Coax and got kind of high, man does that work great!

Kredentials:
Rock n Roll Fan
New Left head gasket on 64 Buick
Worlds loudest PA System in Ford F250 4x4 Truck, this thing is a ball to
use. Have to roll up the windows to keep feedback down.
Got new bongey cord do-dad to tie down the ladder when on the barn roof,
as normally the ladder blows off from the wind leaving you on the barn
roof for some time, ... at times. (I now take up the cell phone)

Hello Jay

Cool breeze with the Aleutian Islands sounding like locals, you may even
pick up on the lingo eventually.. lowered willing.

That motor-boat noise in the background might be some kinda' warning. I
dunno.

dig the kredentials, btw.
