This is a serious forum for cb related issues though it does get
polluted from time to time by noodniks who spam their 'revolutionary'
pieces of equipment or the amateurs who get off on blasting another

Are you in Australia? If so, plenty to choose from... you could get an
old Philips FM 91 or 92 series, or Motorola Syntrx commercial rig
programmed with CB freqs & repeater offsets for about $100, plus the
benefit of 25-30W output. That's a cheap approach anyway... check eBay.
Also common to buy something like an Icom 208H or one of the Alincos and
enable general coverage TX - these perform well at 477MHz (UHF CB
freqs). Grab either a mobile or base collinear antenna and yer in business.

If you're not in Oz... well, too bad!
