Hello All:
Its always a good call to be a good neighbor in these Interference Issues. As they can Domino into really stupid and ugly situations. My neighbor had the cheapest phone system that money could NOT buy, so my stock legal CB, Ham HF Transceiver, and welding set up took out his phone system. So I looked over the phone system and could tell it not the best installation, with phone lines routed all over and unused lines all over. I Hired a local Ham who was a phone system installation guy, and 280 dollars later the phone system was fixed not having any interference problems. Sure I didn't have to do it, but I did and cured the phone interference problem. I am sure all have heard about the ridicules Ordinance that Palmdale Ca is wanted to pass, not allowing any antenna over 6 Ft from the roof. This was all sparked by a local Ham who appears not to have been a good neighbor. Jay in the Mojave Bob Campbell wrote: "radioguy" wrote in message ... Yes, a lot of people recieved interference from cb radios on their tv sets in the 70s and 80s. However, despite what was said recently, the majority of these were NOT caused by CB radios operating with illegal power. The majority of interference was on tv channel 5 and caused by legal power CB radios. Yep, I went thru this myself. I was getting complaints from neighbors, even though we had cable at the time. A cheap low pass filter from Lafayette (remember them?) fixed it. |
