Hello Power House Comm:

Why certainly thats how it is at times. The Spam stuff is new but only
takes seconds to put into the filter, and bang there gone.

The other goof balls are as well deleted into the filter.

Most of the time I see 30 to 40 new messages in the group before opening
up the news group. But only a few actually show up as I keep the filter
updated almost daily.

Many still read the news group, and they also just add the bozo's to the
bozo bin.

Hope the skip conditions are coming your way.

Don't understand why more folks don't just set the filter. Makes things
*so* much easier.

BTW, I heard that even 6 meters opened up a while ago. All over the East
Coast. Better times are coming.

I haven't heard 6 meters open up, but I will be listening in. I have a
modified cut down to almost half Interceptor 10K, 6 Meters 5/8
Wavelength Ground Plane Antenna, works pretty good off a bare foot radio.

Actually, I haven't turned on the CB in well over a year, there has just
been too many other things occupying my time. Most of my equipment is still
packed away in boxes from my move last year. Now that the skip cycle is
coming back into play, I've regained an interest, and am slowly getting
things setup at the new home-front. Perhaps I'll come across some of you
guys out on the band...
