Not to be the bearer of bad news, but anyone located anywhere in the lower
48 can claim any unused call for the lower 48 as a 'vanity' call. Yes, we
have a couple of '8' calls here in the Rochester, NY area. If I wanted jrh
in my call and couldn't find one available as a '2', I could apply for (and
get, if it isn't assigned) a '3', '1', '0', or whatever. KG6 is now a
California call. KG6AAY is assigned in California; it used to be the
amateur radio station at NavCommSta Guam (receiver site). If you're
confused, think how confused us old timers are )

73 from Rochester, NY
Jim

That would be illegal for him to do that and he risks losing his Hammie
license to boot if caught there.

Maybe you should call me instead of some innocent party.

BTW, when you do find _MY_ address and cellphone #, anonymous calls aren't answered...
I don't have a home phone, just a cable modem. You won't find me in the phone book.

You see, after all these years on CB and internet, I don't leave a good trail to follow...

hmmm........does that mean you are going to be a agitator on two
meters like dougie???? and according to hamster rules and
regulations, you are required to submit your correct name and address
to the hamster board for their approval............now, is that not
correct???? and if you are not in the database, then when are you
going to be in that database????

The VEC's verified my information was correct.

It's at the FCC, QRZ, Buckmaster, Hamcall...you have to know where to look.

I spent the night on both bands, communicating. Can you do that on CH6?

Never use AM anymore. Try me on the last four. My TRC-451 has 40 U/L and a stock mike.
Sidebanders don't need echo or power mikes or roger beeps. Just good, clean audio.
