First let me say hello to all my old friends on the group and tell you I
still mourn the loss of a very dear friend that used to grace the pages of this group...those of you that know me will remember. The receive is deteriorating in my 2950 and I will probably need to replace the amplifier stage of the receive side...where can I obtain the parts or who besides the factory is a competent 2950 tech. that has access to the repair parts. Just to save the people that can't read any trouble typing let me say that I am not suffering F.E.O. (Front End Overload), the scotchy diodes are not blown. Only the very strong signals are making their way in to the receiver and the RF gain is turned up higher than usual. The problem is in the radio so don't waste your time inquiring about S.W.R. or Coax or Antenna placement....i hate to be so anal retentive but my experience with this board indicates a low level of comprehension after reading a post. Thanx for your help and Keep on Truckin -- 714 Sandpile, The Mad Dog wavin' good bye |
