To send someone to Coventry means to ignore them - I don't know why
Coventry was picked on for the term.

A few years back there was an advert on TV, I believe it was for milk. One
boy referred to the other playing soccer for Acrington Stanley - to which
the other replied, "Who are they".
"Exactly", came the reply.

The little known team, who are not in a main league are doing quite
well in the FA cup - they just beat a division 2 team... lmfao. At
least there was no streaker this time round.
