First of the Year/ First Radio
Getting away from the flames for a bit, what was the first radio one
used? Lafayette HE20T with a ringo ant. plug in crystals. slid between 21 & 23 to get that extra channel... |

Our first radio is a Lafayette Telsat 1140. It's in a box, somewhere. We used an RS 1/4 wave groundplane. I still have that, too. |

Heh, I had an old Lafayette tuber also in 1972 (cant't recall the model#), with a droopy drawers 1/4 wave. Had to search for someone to talk to back then.. Cool thread, Jim. |

Tram Titan IIa with a 5/8 (yes, I said 5/8) Starduster antenna.
