Same old copper, you buy it, you own it. Try to return something
defective and see what happens. First and most "YOU DID IT" is the first reply. How they stay in business is beyond me. Before you buy anything from them, have your head checked by a doctor or do a web search on them in the google groups. Make sure you have a full pot of coffee ready cause you gonna be up late reading the massive amounts of the same "got ripped stories". Some things never change. O, almost forgot, dont try emailing the boss, he dont want to hear about anything but incomming cash. Yours truly, another burned one in a list of many! And dont forget that the warranty is, well, tiolet paper, if your desperate. course for all legal considerations I will add that this is my opinion, as well as many others also. ps--- that felt good! |

Did you open up your radio and "tinker" with it? If so, you voided all claims
to the warranty. NO vendor that I'm aware of allows return or warranty privleges once the radio has been opened. I did quite a bit of business with Copper 15-20 years ago. My orders were always filled quickly and arrived without any hassle. Their prices were always below my local retailers, even after adding the shipping charges. If Copper is really as bad as you say they are, how is it they've managed to stay in business for all these years? |

Because of dumb-asses like you that keep buying from them, that's why!!!!! THIS IS HOW THEY DID ME- YUP, IM A DUMB ASS, BUT LEARN FROM THIS The following is a copy of a product return report I sent to copper. To who it may concern, This amp was delivered to me on Jan. 9 2004, cod by ups. I hooked it up properly to my Cobra 142gtl base and let it set at room temp to allow it to warm up some as it came off the truck very cold. I used it on AM for approx 15 min with no problems. I switched both amp and radio to sb and spoke to a friend for a short time,no problems. I keyed the mic again and before speaking the amp made a pop noise and I noticed smoke comming out of the top vent. I shut unit off and put it right back in the box that it arrived in. My radio was bought new by me, and has never had any mods or so called golden screw drivers in it. I believe the radio comes from the factory in good working order and does not require any "fixing to operate properly, thus longer life radio parts from undue stress. This radio does 4-5 watts on am and a max of 12(with screem in mic) on sb. I use a stock cobra mic and a solarcon antenna. These facts I have stated I swear to. I believe the proper thing to do is exchange this unit for a new working one as I believe the unit sent was defective. This would be the proper thing to do rather than have the customer wait on repairs, parts or ect. If I must wait then so be it. Thanks you, William Dnvan THERE REPLY AFTER # WEEKS OF HELL-EMAILED PRESIDENT OF COMPANY TWICE-NO REPLY Mr. Dnvan, We received your amp back from our repair shop and they said that you overdrove the unit and blew it up. The repair bill will be $102.00. Let me know what you want to do. Thanks Suzanne YAY SUZANNE!!! ONE MORE FAGGOT ASS TRICKED ****ED OUT OF AN AMP!!! Maybe we ought to allow Copper into the AKC...they sure seem to do a good job on stupid people like William Donovan the dick juice eater. |
