No such thing.....Noise through the antenna has to be eliminated at the source

There are noise quieting devices in radios that can be fairly efficient at
eliminating short duration pulses such as ignition noise. I'm just not
familiar with the various radios and their capabilities in this department.

The one with the power switch set to off.

But seriously, most radios made now days have very ineffective noise
blankers and are very susceptible to engine/fuel pump noise. You would be
ahead of the game to look for notes issued by the manufacturer of your
vehicle concerning RF noise. There really is a lot of information to be
gained here that a lot of folks tend to overlook.

From what I've read, the Magnum 257 has one of the quietest receivers when
it comes to ignition noise. It needs to be modified to work on CB, but it's
a very easy mod. I had one a while ago, but got rid of it because of a new
car. Someone mentioned in the other replies about eliminating noise, not
covering it up, but some of us just aren't that inclined to start hooking up
ground wires all over the undercarriage and engine compartment of our
vehicles.

used to use .315 as a home freq. you are right tim its very quiet there and
i guess its a result of people tuning their ant's for the nickel.
heard some people in the past on 25 mhz but never bothered.

Noise can get into the radio through the power wiring as well as the
antenna. Power directly from the battery is best but also keep your ground
wire as short as possible. It sometimes helps to ground the chassis also,
especially with magnetic mount antennas.
