Oh man..what a mess that was. Erie and Huron counties are under
a tornado watch right now...

again i ask, wtf?

Mopar,

We had it last night. The whole sky was lit up almost continuously for some
time. We were warned about possible tornados. Lost the satellite tv a
number of times despite a new dish with signal levels 50% higher than when
the system was first installed. A lot of folks lost power last night in the
Rochester area.

Hmmm ... tornado warnings? Better raise the gasoline prices some more LOL
(just put brakes on the car and now I see $2.13 per gallon for gas ... good
grief, now I hear that we have to import *gasoline* as well as oil as the
refineries can't keep up. Prices go higher as the oil companies report
record profits. Better re-elect Bush *not*).

Best regards from Rochester, NY
Jim

People lost a bunch of boats to the flood at the rocky river
marina's. What a mess.

Anyone else get the monsoon?

I was wondering about that Steve, Knox county isn't that far from
you, they had several hundred trees get blown over, every county
around me right now is under folod warnings.

grrrrrr make that flood warnings, this is what happens when you try
typing first thing in the morning w/o having any coffee first.

I got ya Keith, this pattern just won't let up. They are calling
for more rain this coming week too.

Got more of this crap coming through today looks like most of it will
miss us here. but that cah change, the heat and humidity combined with
unstable air mass makes ripe conditions for pop-us, and thats what
damn near wiped Xenia off the map.

We had a confirmed touchdown at 108 and the Henry/Putnam Co line this
afternoon at 6 PM, and we have another cell hitting us now, and a third
right on it's tail. He have 2 towns with downed trees and power lines at the
moment.

Did ya see Cleveland on the news? many people lost boats yesterday. Glad
mine is at Lake St. Mary's, I almost brought it up to Port Clinton, I have a
28 ft Cabin Cruiser.

Boy, glad I don't live in natural disaster country
anymore. I'd still take an earthquake once every hundred
years, good thing I don't live in earthquake country either.

Landshark

I don't live in natural disaster country either, but last night we had our
first tornado warning in my memory. I haven't seen a storm like that in

a *looooong* time.

Well, we never get Tornado warnings, a matter of fact,
since I moved out here the only warning we get are for
rivers rising to flood stage. We do get winter storm
warnings for the Sierra, but that's about the only
warnings we get.

The whole sky was lit up almost continuously with
lightning and there was a torrential downpour.

I love to watch lighting. I can imagine the down pour,
been back east when it rains cats & dogs.

A lot of folks lost power; it wasn't pretty. I shut down the pc and
pulled
the phone line from the dsl modem.

Good call.

Lost the satellite TV a few times as
well (and there is a new 3 head dish up there with signal strengths 50%
higher than when the system was first installed, but still lost the

signal).

Now that would suck if your watching the finals or a race

It is overcast now and hasn't rained in over 12 hours. Still quite a bit

of
standing water in the street.

Best regards from Rochester, NY
Jim

Well, it's got to get better............

Looks like a typical back up at the gas dock.
Low prices?

this season..
