Icom rocks.

I've got an IC-2100
http://www.rigpix.com/icom/ic2100h.htm

Does 136 to 174. 55 watts on MURS!!!!!

They don't have pics of my HTX-242, that covers about the same range as the Icom,
or my HTX-420 that will do 4.5 watts on FRS with an external antenna.

One must be careful with these radios. You can transmit where you don't want to.
If you program in a mutual aid channel, program a split that puts you in the ham band.
Unlike 27 MHz CB, there is no room on either side to mess with.

you dont have a radio to do that.... let me guess, a gc radio to monitor
right?

Gc..ground control? to major tom?

general coverage. keep playing with those cobra chassis'. one day you
might graduate to something like a 2510.

Or a Racal.

I got one of those from this transistor jockey, you might know of him.

That's all new-fangled technology to me, I'm used to a 61 S-Line
with a non amplified D-104 dialed in perfectly on vox..till ya fart
with the 30-L1 keyed..The Dosey seems to love it. g

:-)

never farted into the mic. sounds interesting though the pubes may be
caught in the key. dosey couldn't handle the scream though.

No..not into the mic. The vox works really good on that old S-Line..
the lock talk stays on with the D-104. When I speak the transmitter
will key up. It has two adjustments for it and if you get it just
right, it will ignore background noise and you can adjust the delay
on how long it stays keyed between words. I sit 2 or 3 feet from the
mic.. I'm sure you're familiar with vox.

Pretty slick for its age.

Steveo too bad you are not authorized to transmit on those freqs. you
are illegal and a pirateyou are limited to one outlaw band no matter
the equipment rotflmao
