Default Uniden PC68XL Review

Just a quick review for those thinking of buying a Uniden PC68XL 40
channel CB mobile. The transmit audio sounds good, but the receive
is very noisy. The signal meter sits on S3 or S4 even when no signal
is coming in, and there is a loud white noise in the receiver (not
skip noise). The CB was noisy in my car and noisy in my house on an
Astron power supply. I tried an old Radio Shack TRC-469 in the same
locations, and it was much quiter on receive. . The Uniden PC68XL
also gets co-channeled easily when the noise blanker is engaged. I
would not buy this radio again
