Johnson amp........ bitchen!
Hello All:

That is a real museum piece!!! Smithsonian will probably purchase

That one is in really good shape, bid price is just about what they cost new. |

Good call, but the manual calls out for 4x250, same thing I am sure. For a really great web site for all the old Johnson radios and amps look he http://bama.sbc.edu/e_f.htm Wonder why a 6 meter and 2 meter amp isn't offered presently. This amp is is great, works on both 6 and 2 meters. You could hammer down on the 435 guys and yet shoot skip on 6. Wanna see a real linear, 1-100w in / 100-1200w out, about 70 lbs worth

Johnson made a Viking Thunderbolt 6N2 amplifier with a pair of 4CX250's. It
had 2100VDC plate xformer and had regulated screens and bias. The power supply was good to run 1kw DC input.
