This thing is incredible for SWR. Box said it was pretuned to 27.205. I ran the
meter and the needle bairly budges. I tried it a few times to make sure I didn't screw it up. No change. I then used the radio's SWR. No change. I used and Autek RF analyzer I borrowed. Same thing. And the damn SWR is flat above and below. BTW, hey Chad, thanks for the info on Bury-Flex. I used it and it works great. Vinnie S. |

Sounds like we have a similar antenna rig, Bury-flex and an Imax2K! I have lots of critters 'round here and not one chew mark on the coax. BTW I am also expieriencing the same SWR measurements with the Imax..... Have you witnessed it in high winds yet... hehe. How 'bout putting it up, was it fun to deal with that floppy sucka or what ?! How 'bout putting it up, was it fun to deal with that floppy sucka or what ?! It was a bitch. Not recommended for a one man job. Vinnie S. |

I dropped it in and it's doing well. BTW I am also expieriencing the same SWR measurements with the Imax..... Have you witnessed it in high winds yet... hehe. I have it in trees, so the wind is reduced. AT least a little. I saw mine with high wind and ice and it was spooky. I saw it lay flat out 2 weeks ago in straight line winds. Bent the mast but the antenna made it thru. Now I'm a little more directional to the east ![]() How 'bout putting it up, was it fun to deal with that floppy sucka or what ?! It was a bitch. Not recommended for a one man job. I did it alone, well, with the help of a 4 yr old laughing at dad and saying, "all you need now is a hoola-hoop daddy!!!" (you can ofset the sway of the antenna by kinda moving "with" it.) Chad |
