Going back has to be my Thunderbolt 101, Browning Mark III and original
Antenna Specialists Astro Plane or five element vertical beam. Would key up
late at night from the NJ coast line and regularly talk to stations in
Michigan and throughout the Southeast. My last station been out of the hobby
for some time was a 100W Ranger AR-3500, still have it .. condition is NOS
stored for at least the last thirteen years in the original packaging, and
it would talk anywhere in the US and Caribbean using a Shakespeare Big
Stick.
