Well, when I was between 11-17, I met at least a dozen of the people I
talked with on the radio. These were people away from channel 19, on
a channel for locals. They all seemed "nice" to me.

Not true. i usually only have the Cb in my Truck when I'm towing our
Fifth Wheel on trips. There have been many time I wish I had left it in
permanently.
The Construction Zone and Wreck backups, Speed Traps, and Dangerous
Drivers are always relayed on the CB.
I don't use it for Conversation with XYZ Freight to break the boredom etc.
The CB has proven very useful.
