Are they good, bad, hard to understand, etc?

Does anyone here even have an Alinco rig with the board in it? When you
use digital mode to work someone with a similarly equipped rig, how is
it? Garbly? Not too bad, ???

Eham.net lists only three comments, and none of them are flattering, but
they don't specify why they disliked it, just that they did.

(or is it that these things are so rare, almost none were sold? Someone
must be buying them, there are no EJ-40U units to be had in any store
that I can find.)

So, if you have some first hand experience with these things, please
drop a note here.

Their audio quality is absolute crap. Not much else to say.
